How long will my Virtual Tour stay active?
Every tour will stay active for 1 year from the end of the month in which it was purchased.
Why is my Virtual Tour not viewable from my computer?
Flash-based applications work on most newer computers. Please start by checking if your internet browser is running the most recent version of Adobe Flash by going to www.Adobe.com.
What types of images can be uploaded?
Our uploader is capable of supporting .jpg, .gif, and .png files.
My floor plan is a .pdf file - why can I not upload it?
Our uploader is capable of supporting .jpg, .gif, and .png files. Please contact your measurement provider for an appropriate file type you can upload. You can also open .pdf files in Adobe Photoshop and re-save them as .jpg, .gif, or .png file types.
Can I have more than one page for floor plans?
No, not at this time. Please copy all of your floor plans onto one page and upload the one page.
How many still pictures and panoramas can my tour have?
Unlimited! There is no limit to the amount of photos or panoramas allowable, however, if you have more than 50 images combined, you will have to upload them in multiple batches.
How many videos can my tour have?
Our resources allow us to currently host 1 video per tour. Eventually this may change, but there are no immediate plans to do so.
What are the parameters in which my video must fit?
Our video player has some basic guidelines which must be followed.
- All uploaded videos must be in .flv format. We recommend using the Adobe Flash Video Encoder, but you can download a free video converter from www.download.com.
- All uploaded video must have no dimension greater than 360px high, or 760px wide. If your video is larger, it will be resized when played to fit these dimensions.
- All videos must be no greater than 30Mb (this is approximately 5 minutes of 700kbs quality .flv video footage).
How do I add my own agent photo?
To add your photo to the "contact" page, please upload it just as you would a still or panoramic image. When you edit the tour details, choose the "Agent Photo" tab, and scroll through the uploaded images until you find your photo.
How does the hit counter work?
The hit counter counts the number of times your tour - both the tours with and without details - is accessed. It also records when the tour was visited, allowing you to show the most recent hit count. The referring url, (ie. the web page that directed potential clients to your tour) is also recorded. The hit counter also shows the amount of duplicate hits so you know how many different people have visited your tour.
I don't have time to add all my details - what can I do?
We know that the Real Estate business can be very demanding - for this reason we have created every tour with a second display option - one that doesn't show the details page! To exercise this option simply change your link from www.flashtours.net/0109/1234nowherelane/ to www.flashtours.net/0109/1234nowherelane/n.php.
How do I create a panoramic image?
There are plenty of tutorials available online as to how to do it, but essentially it comes down to the following steps:
- Using a tripod and a rotating tripod head, mount your camera vertically.
- Rotate the camera head around the tripod, snapping photographs every 20-30 degrees, until you have covered all 360 degrees (you should have between 12-18 photographs for the complete circle).
- Import all your vertical panoramic images into a panoramic stitcher, like Panavue.
- Stitch all your photos together, following the instructions of your stitching program.
How often do you create new designs?
As fast as we can! We love to try to keep up with the demand for new styles and designs, and do so whenever able. |
